I thought this post to talk switch to work with a VGC VR – N7500. From the get-go it was a hassle to pair. It would randomly disappear from both my tablet and the radio, and when trying to pair with the tablet, it constantly gave me invalid pass code errors. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it didn’t. I’m just going to use the BH – 78 Bluetooth mic for now, but in the future, I will probably put together a wire push to talk switch. I gave it three stars because when it does work, it works well.

I thought I had a bad unit at first and bought a second one, neither was able to reliably connect to the Android HT app. Eventually got the second unit to connect once by keeping the button held down the entire time the phone was connecting to it (not just searching), but then could never get it to connect again. I ended up buying another PTT Bluetooth button elsewhere (different brand) and it worked great, so something isn't right with this button.
