I got this product as recommended by a sales representative after the Nagoya mag mount base fell apart, due to a poor glue job and weak magnet. Definitely get the TRAM and avoid the Nagoya base. I still have Nagoya whip (which never had an issue) and am using that with the TRAM base via an adapter. I am very happy with the TRAM mag mount.
