Price for the antenna is reasonable and works great on my 2021 Toyota Rav 4.

Works well on my Escape. Good price too.

  3. Great Mobile Antenna review by Ken on 2/13/2023

I recently installed this Tram 1191 on my 2020 Dodge Durango on the factory tinted rear side window.
I was impressed that after a slight adjustment with the antenna I was able to get a 1.2:1 SWR on my antenna analyzer.
First test was with an old Icom HT. 5 watts worked local repeaters well.
Second test with a Kenwood mobile. Worked well also.
Great antenna for newer vehicles with no coax access points from the outside like older vehicles have.
If you do not want to drill holes this is the way to go.

  4. Great Antenna on Factory Tinted Windows review by Just another radio guy on 5/29/2021

This antenna worked well right out of the box (bag) - might tweak it a bit on the VNA when I get a chance. Follow the instructions and you won't go wrong. I mounted it on a factory tinted window (Subaru Outback) and it worked just fine. The key to a good install is to CLEAN your glass and follow the OEM's instructions. Great build quality too.

  5. I think this is a much better antenna than anticipated review by snakebait on 6/11/2018

Very easy to install, and will give 20 mile range to a repeater. Over the years I have had several of these on several vehicles, and they just work.

  6. Yes I would review by Hammer on 5/18/2018

I put one of these antennas on my 2005 Dodge Dakota in 2006 when I bought it new and it still works great, so last year labor day 2017 I bought a 2016 2500HD Chevrolet Silverado to pull my toy hauler camper and have been using a mag mount antenna until I could figure out what I wanted to do for a permanent antenna. One day while loading my wheelchair after a doctor appointment at the VA the one installed on my Dodge was right there in front of me, and BINGO no further thought was needed! I installed the new antenna today on the Silverado in about 30 minutes including turning and all completely done, on the VHF side with my MFJ analyzer. I was able to use repeaters 35 miles away on med/low power setting on my IC2800. I have great SWR and resistance.

I am totally satisfied with this purchase. Assembly was easy and the Product works well. The only downside was that there was no installation instructions. After an email to the manufacturer, I was quickly sent a copy.

Although I already have the ham radio, haven't installed it to my truck yet. I am thinking about getting a new dual band radio.

  9. Antenna Performs Great review by Jim on 6/28/2017

I've had on-glass antennas on my Jeep for over 10 years. Had one knocked off at the car wash when I forgot to remove the whip. Installed the Tram 1191 and it works great. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again.

  10. Its good fo the price but could be better review by BigFooToo on 4/9/2017

I have used these antennas for years and they work reasonable well. However, there are 2 bugs with regards to them. The center screw only adjust VHF and the plastic form it screws into melts after awhile changing the SWR and making it not adjustable anymore. There is an adjustment for UHF hidden underneath the plastic cover, I remove the cover and drill a hole directly above the trimmer so I can adjust it.

  11. Decent product review by TZ on 3/1/2015

For the price of this antenna it works well. It comes with all the needed items for installation, however there was no instructions. I had to contact the manufacture for directions on how to install. The SWR was off slightly but it is easy to adjust if you have a meter. Overall a decent antenna. I have been able to reach a repeater from just about 20 miles with a 25w 2m radio.
