Authentic Nagoya NA-701G Handheld GMRS Antenna (5.5 Inch)

purchased 2 Nagoya 701G antennas for my wife's and I Wouxun KG905G GMRS radios and they work great!...adds more coverage and a little more "miles" when my wife's on her mountain bike and I'm monitoring her where-abouts. Can't beat the performance, and the price from Buy Two way Radios!!!

I am concerned if this is a knock off black market antenna or the real deal. I wonder because the base of the antenna has a sticker on it with the name and model. Original ones I've seen on the Internet have it printed directly on the base rather than a sticker. Also any slight bend on the antenna causes it to stay bent. I then have to bend it back the other direction to make it straight again. I'm talking by the base of the antenna. It seems to work ok, but I'm concerned that this is not a genuine antenna from Nagoya.

Fits my S88G very well. Seems comparable to the stock antenna .

It was exactly what I ordered but I have not used it as of yet.

I have purchased 2 other Nagoya NA-701G antennas but with different connectors from another seller. From what the supplier at B-Tech says, the Name and Model of the Antenna is imprinted on the base of the antenna. The one I received here has a sticker. The packaging is different as well, leading me to believe the product is not a genuine Nagoya product. The length of the antenna purchased here is the same but the measurement from the base to the indentation on the whip is not the same. It does appear to be fairly close after checking SWR. Hard to tell, too many differences for the same product.

In my hands-on in the field of an A-B conversion, this antenna outperformed many other shot/mid-size antennae in this class. Understand your mileage will vary with conditions, and battery voltage, Yes the 771G did better, but that is a horse of a different color.

Use as companion to 771g. Nice compact easy to carry. When I need "fars" I use big brother

Certainly not any better than the factory antenna, probably a bit worse reception. Smaller, but not as effective. In brief, a waste of money.

Great little antenna. Low SWR on gmrs. Only have had antenna for a couple weeks but I am really liking it. Thanks Buy Two Way Radios for the great price, and fast shipping.

Looks cute. SWR holding around the base plug and placing it above my head was 3 to 1. Rubber duck stock was 2.5 to 1. Dual band ham antenna cut 3.5 inch short came out 1 to 1. Then to add insult I caught it when shoveling snow and broke the base off.

Wanted a antenna to replace stock one on Retgvis RT87. have two of them antenna fit's very well and
seems to outperform stock unit.

I love these antennas, low swr and they work better than my stock ones. no more getting pocked on the side with a whip antenna.

Have not tested for a small distance as far as I can see antenna is not bad hopefully it performs

terrible swr ......the 771 G is the best.....my 701 G is worthless for my gmrs handhelds

This is a great ht antenna. I tested the swr and it was 1.2 at 462.500 and 1.3 at 467.500, was able to hit the lrepeater 20 plus miles away,with 4 watts. Would highly recommend this ht antenna.

This was a great addition to my KG905g. It does a great job with my radio. I would recommend this antenna. The ordering process was easy and delivery was quick.

I bought 2 of these for my 805G's and they didn't seem to make any difference at all for range or reception. The 771's made a huge difference, but not these. Still, I prefer these over the stock rubber ducky because they're more flexible, so I still like them.

A bit pricey but worth it.

Bought for a UV-5R. Works great. Can hit repeaters full quieting 40 miles away.

I use these on my Wouxun KG-805G radios. Not sure they improve transmission/reception significantly over the factory supplied, but they are more nicely made, slimmer and more flexible. No regrets adding them to my radios.

The stock antennas worked fine couldnt believe the nagoyas made such a change. Very happy with my wouxns and nagoyas.

Very low swr on a KG-805G and radioddity gm-30 (1.2 to 1.5). Better swr than stock antennas. Both hit a repeater about 8 miles away in the mountains. Not sure how clear my transmission was as I did not get a response but bery impressive.
