I used this antenna with both a Wouxun KG-XS20G and a Radioddity db20G. The quality is what you would expect from a micro antenna. Don’t buy it with the expectation of comparing it to a 36” Nagoya, Tram, etc. The SWR probably wont be as good but the Rx and Tx quality will be solid considering what you’re buying. I like it.

  7. Midland MXTA13 antenna review by Joemix on 6/25/2021

Again I have not had a chance to use the MXTA13 yet . I plan on hooking it into the vehicle with a Retevis RT76P to help increase range from vehicle to base . The Retevis RT76P with its stock antenna from vehicle to base only got 4 miles. So I hope that the Midland MXTA13 being outside the vehicle will increase the RX/TX signal. I will give a better review once I get more testing done. That’s for the 3 stars on the review . As far as Buy Two Way Radios they are a 5 star company.

  8. Good review by David C. on 5/16/2021

Checked the SWR the SWR was good granted it comes with 19 ft of fairly lossy cable also on some of them there's a bottom metal piece to take off before it sticks onto the metal correctly. Have it hooked to a 5 watt HT and hits 5 repeaters no problem I'm fairly happy with this the SWR is good all through gmrs. Buy two-way radios has been good to work with.

this thing is small, at first I didn't think much of this antenna, the magnet seemed week, I found out a few days latter that it has a piece of metal on the bottom of it, after I removed it the antenna sticks great,

when I first got the antenna I put it on my truck, a took my HT radio put an antenna adapter on it and attached the antenna, did a repeater check and talked to a guy through the repeater that is about 35 miles away, I checked the SWR's and they were at 1.01 so I did not have to adjust the antenna at all. so with this antenna I reached the repeater 35 miles away at ground level or about 6 feet above ground level on a hand held radio putting out 4.5 W of power, very happy with this antenna, thinking of getting one for my other truck
