The Genuine Melowave Shadow ANM-133G is a high gain mobile GMRS antenna with an NMO connector for your GMRS mobile two way radio. The Shadow is specifically tuned for 462MHz frequencies on the GMRS and designed for mobile GMRS two way radios, including the Wouxun KG-XS20G and KG-1000G.

I bought this antenna because of its design. I only have about 10" of clearance above the top of my vehicle going in and out of the garage. The signal works ok but I am not impressed I have only been able to get about 8 miles with it and I am using the Wouxun KG-1000g Plus. My main reason for only giving 2 stars is I want to let everybody know that this antenna will not work if you want to listen to FM radio stations on your transceiver. It could be my lack of knowledge or experience but I contacted the experts and I was told that this antenna is not designed to receive 90-110 MHZ. I hope this review helps you make an informed purchase.

Hesitate at first but awesome results. I wanted low profile on my truck so decided on this and it looks great. But I have been putting it up inside an office upside down hanging from the drop ceiling and hitting a repeater 35 miles away. Everyone says it's sounding good. It's matched well with the Wouxun xs20g+ perfect.

Could not get the antenna to go below 3:1 swr and some times much higher. Using a mag mount. The mag mount is good it works fine with other antennas, It just did not like my setup, It may be fine for others, but would not work for me.

It's an ok antenna, but for ME, the reception Wasn't really any better than other 3db antennas.. I DO love the way it looks on my WRX .

I don't have anything to compare it to, and haven't used it because my odd vehicle doesn't have normal hinged panels. Now I have to get a magnet mount to try it
