Fly higher with the Icom IC-A16 Air Band Radio! The A16 is a ground to air radio with 6W PEP RF output power and 1500 mW audio for efficient communications and increased safety in your aircraft!

The A16 is equipped with a backlit LCD display and a backlit DTMF keypad for night time operation. It features 200 memory channels and 10 memory banks, weather channels and a dedicated 121.5MHz emergency key. The side tone feature lets you hear your own voice through an external aviation headset.

The Icom A16-41-USA also uses the Auto Noise Limiter (ANL) found on other Icom airband radios for noise reduction. Other features include scan function, internal VOX capability, adjustable microphone gain setting, low battery indicator, and low battery beep alert. The large capacity 2400mAh Lithium-ion battery pack provides up to 17 hours of battery life. It's compact, durable, IP67 waterproof and meets Mil-STD 810-G specifications.

The Icom IC-A16 Air Band Radio comes complete with removable antenna, belt clip, hand strap, Li-ion battery pack, rapid charger, AC wall adapter, owner's manual and a three year manufacturer warranty from Icom.

As a member of our sheriffs Dept we often deal with medical calls that require air medics or search and rescue. Having air coms for landing sites or ground to air ops is critical. Often depts don’t share the same radio frequencies, this is where this nifty ICom radio comes in, small package, big performers,great prices for a basic easy to use radio.unlike many other brands, Icom is a home run.
